Goodbye to Jerry Kelly's Restaurant

WE APPRECIATED YOUR BUSINESS

JERRY KELLY'S operated in the same location from 1978 to the end of February, 2008. Thirty years of business and we owe it all to our valued customers. Jerry and Sandra have decided to go fishing, permanently. February 22 marks the day that the restaurant closed so that Jerry and Sandra could retire.

"So long, Jerry Kelly's"
Article in The State newspaper - Friday, February 22, 2008
'You'll see all walks of life here - broke students to rich business men and women. It's just real homey and good friends.'

The restaurant began as JERRY KELLY'S SHOP and operated as a friendly place for friends and families to meet and enjoy food, drink, and each other's company. The decor was centered around the outdoors and featured hunting and fishing memorabilia gathered from old farms and camp-sites around the state of South Carolina. Early food dishes prepared at JERRY KELLY'S included South Carolina recipes enjoyed by the Collins family for generations that quickly became favorites with the customers of the restaurant.

With the continued success of the restaurant, it later bcame known as JERRY KELLY'S RESTAURANT, it expanded the food operations and remodeled the dining rooms and kitchen in the summer of 1990. The menu grew to include food and drink items prepared from special recipes gathered from around the country. Their similarities to those used for generations in the South gave us the idea of presenting the various dishes that expanded the menu. Featured dishes include recipes from Tampa, New Orleans, Charleston, Savannah, El Paso, and Los Angeles.

So JERRY KELLY'S RESTAURANT is closed, but the name will continue. Stay tuned for future plans that will include retail sales of food products and memorabilia.

Thankyou for the great memories!
